پاکستان کے شہر ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان سے تعلق رکھنے والی عالیہ (فرضی نام) کی زندگی اُس وقت بدل گئی جب سنہ 2019 میں اُن کے شوہر ایک ٹریفک حادثے کا شکار ہوئے۔

عالیہ کے شوہر سوزوکی کمپنی کی مہران گاڑی چلا رہے تھے. جب ایک ویگن نے انھیں اوور ٹیک کرنے کی کوشش کی اور حادثہ پیش آیا۔

عالیہ بتاتی ہیں کہ ’گاڑی کا سٹیئرنگ وھیل اُن کی پسلیوں میں دھنس گیا تھا۔ اُن کی پسلیاں اور دایاں بازو ٹوٹ گیا، ٹوٹی ہوئی پسلیاں جسم سے باہر نکل آئی تھیں۔‘

عالیہ ایک سرکاری ادارے میں ملازم ہیں. اور اسی وجہ سے اپنا اصل نام ظاہر نہیں کرنا چاہتیں۔ وہ اسلام آباد میں اپنے تین بچوں کے ساتھ رہتی ہیں۔

اس حادثے کے بارے میں بات کرتے ہوئے انھوں نے بی بی سی کو مزید بتایا کہ ’فروری 2019 میں ہمیں یہ نئی گاڑی ملی تھی جس پر سوار ہو کر ہم اپنے گاؤں پہنچے۔ ہم بہت خوش تھے کہ ہم نئی گاڑی میں جا رہے ہیں۔‘

حادثے

’میرے شوہر نے مجھے اور بچوں کو گاؤں چھوڑا اور وہ 17 مارچ کو واپس آ رہے تھے۔ میں نے دن تین بجے اُن کے فون پر کال کی تو کسی اجنبی نے اٹھائی اور پوچھا کہ کیا آپ ان کی اہلیہ ہیں۔ فون اٹھانے والے نے بتایا کہ یہ شخص (عالیہ کے شوہر) حادثے میں فوت ہو چکے ہیں۔‘

عالیہ نے حادثے کا شکار ہونے والی گاڑی کی تصاویر دکھاتے ہوئے. بتایا کہ ’حادثہ اس قدر شدید تھا کہ ڈرائیونگ سیٹ پیچھے پسنجر سیٹ تک آ چکی تھی۔‘

وہ بتاتی ہیں کہ ابتدائی سوگ کے بعد انھوں نے اپنے شوہر کو پیش آئے حادثے پر تحقیق کی. اور یہ چیک کیا کہ اگر گاڑی میں حفاظتی اشیا ہوتیں تو کیا اُن کی جان بچ سکتی تھی؟
