جنوبی کوریا کے مشہور کرپٹو ایکسچینج بٹ ہمب (Bithumb) کی ایک تکنیکی غلطی نے صارفین کو چند منٹوں کے لیے اربوں ڈالر مالیت کے بٹ کوائن کا مالک بنا دیا۔
دراصل کمپنی نے جمعہ کو ایک پروموشنل ریوارڈ کے طور پر ہر صارف کو صرف 2,000 جنوبی کوریائی وون (تقریباً 1.37 امریکی ڈالر) کا چھوٹا سا نقد انعام دینے کا ارادہ کیا تھا، لیکن سسٹم میں غلطی کی وجہ سے صارفین کے اکاؤنٹس میں 2,000 بٹ کوائن (BTC) ٹرانسفر ہو گئے۔ اس وقت ایک بٹ کوائن کی قیمت تقریباً 70,000 ڈالر کے قریب. تھی، یعنی ایک صارف کو تقریباً 140 ملین ڈالر (تقریباً 40 ارب پاکستانی روپے سے زائد) مالیت کے بٹ کوائن مل گئے تھے۔
کل 695 صارفین متاثر ہوئے. اور مجموعی طور پر 620,000 بٹ کوائن. (موجودہ قیمت پر تقریباً 43 سے 44 ارب امریکی ڈالر) غلطی سے بھیجے گئے۔
فوری کارروائی :
- غلطی کا پتہ چلنے کے صرف 35 منٹ کے اندر تمام متاثرہ اکاؤنٹس سے ٹریڈنگ اور ودڈرال کی سہولت معطل کر دی۔
- کمپنی نے تقریباً تمام ٹوکن واپس حاصل کر لیے اور دعویٰ کیا ہے. کہ 99.7 فیصد بٹ کوائن واپس لے لیے گئے ہیں۔
ایکسچینج نے متاثرہ صارفین سے معذرت کی ہے. اور کہا ہے کہ یہ ایک تکنیکی خرابی تھی جسے فوری طور پر درست کر لیا گیا۔ خوش قسمتی سے کوئی بڑا نقصان نہیں ہوا. اور زیادہ تر صارفین نے اضافی رقم واپس کر دی۔
یہ واقعہ کرپٹو دنیا میں ایک نایاب "ارب پتی بننے کا حادثہ” بن گیا ہے. جو صرف چند منٹوں تک ہی برقرار رہا۔
